==Early life and education==
Greenstein was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were Donald and Janice Greenstein. He was raised in the Orthodox Jewish faith. At the age of fourteen, he worked at Gold Bug, an antique store, and began collecting Judaica.〔 Greenstein visited flea markets and garage sales to add to his Judaica collection.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=One of the World's Only Judaica Auction Houses is in Cedarhurst )〕 Eventually, Greenstein began dealing in antique Jewish ritual objects.〔 He received his bachelor's and master's degree from Brooklyn College in health administration.〔
